Click Help > Product Activation from the menu bar.Open SDL Trados Studio 2014 by going to Start > Programs > SDL > SDL Trados Studio 2014 > SDL Trados Studio 2014.You do NOT need to deactivate your license before updating your copy of Windows or before re-formatting your hard disk drive.You do NOT need to deactivate your license before updating your copy of Studio to a newer version.You need to deactivate your license before changing or replacing your hard disk.When you want to move your product single-user license to another machine or when you replace the hard disk in your current machine, you need to “deactivate” the license so it is free to use again. If the activation code is valid, the Activation Successful message is displayed.
The wizard connects to the Internet to validate the code. Switch back to the Product Activation wizard and paste the Activation Code into the dialog using the Paste Activation Code icon.Copy the Activation Code using the Copy Activation Code icon.Click the plus symbol to display the details for the appropriate license.
Click SDL My Account to access the My Licenses section of your account.Click Activate to display the Online Activation page.The Product Activation wizard is automatically displayed. Open SDL Trados Studio by going to Start > Programs > SDL > SDL Trados Studio 2014 > SDL Trados Studio 2014.
